HELLO EVERYONE!!Welcome to my blog. I am writing a simple blog on "EVOLUTION OF LAPTOPS". So, let's get started.......
1] IBM 5100
IN SEPTEMBER 1975, IBM launched its First Commercial Laptop. The IBM 5100 was invented to put computer capabilities at the fingertips of the engineers, statisticians, etc. but not for business purposes. As a result, IBM 5100 was withdrawn from marketing in 1982.
2] XEROX NOTE TAKER:-
It was developed in XEROX PARC in Palo Alto ,California, in 1976. Although it did not enter production, and only ten prototypes were built, because of this it strongly influenced the design of later "OSBORNE 1" and Compaq Portable Computers.
3] OSBORNE-1:-
The OSBORNE - 1 was the "First Commercially Successfull" Portable Microcomputer, released on April 3, 1981 by "Osborne Computer Corporation". It was powered from a wall socket , as it had no on - board battery. It was developed by Adam Osborne and designed by Lee Felsenstein. The computer runs on Cp/m 2.2 operating system. Discontinued in 1983.
IBM PC-CONVERTIBLE was the first laptop computer released by IBM on April 3, 1986. Most Important thing is that the Convertible was using the "3 and half inch floppy DISK format" which went on to become the industry standard. Discontinued in April 1987.

7] APPLE POWERBOOK
The powerbook is portable subnotebook personal computer that was designed by Sony for Apple Computer and was launched on October 21, 1991.
8] OLIVETTI-D33

Compaq Slt was a line portable computers made by Compaq. The 16-Bit Compaq Slt debuted in the year October 1988. Being the first-battery powered laptop to support an Internal HDD and a VGA Compatible LCD screen. The second model of Slt 386s/20 was released in 1990.
7] APPLE POWERBOOK

Olivetti Company was founded as a typewriter company by Camillo Olivetti. Olivetti D33 was released in the year 1992.
9] TOSHIBA PORTEGE 2000
Toshiba Portege is high-end Ultrabook brand line from toshiba. The Portege Series has a long line of several models, the latest being the 13.3 inch R30 series and the similar Z30 series. Toshiba Portege was launched in the year 2002.
10] COMPAQ TC1100
Compaq TC1100 debuted in the year 2004. It was discontinued in the year 2005.
11] EEE PC 701
EEE PC 701 was released in the year 2007. Its a notebook computer and also its a part of the Asus Eee product family. When it was introduced,it was famous for its weight, Linux-based operating system,for its relatively low cost and for its solid state drives(SSD). Discontinued in Jan 2013.
12] LENOVO YOGA 13
Lenovo Yoga 13 i.e. the 13-inch Yoga was released by lenovo on October 26, 2012. So, its a convertible laptop created by lenovo. Windows 8 is its operating system and manufacturer is lenovo, CPU is Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7. Memory is 4 or 8 GB.
13] YOGA BOOK C930
Lenovo Yoga Book C930 debuted in the year 2018. Its draws your attention because its unlikely a combination of a tablet and a laptop in a way we've never seen before.
